Hi I'm Qiana Johnson known to the loc world as the legendary Loc Teacher and Loctician Yonni Red. "Yonni's Dreadful Thoughts Salon & Loc Traning Center", my first loc shop opened back in 2005 in Newark NJ. Licensed cosmetologist since 1998,Loc teacher since 2002, I featured 32 pages of loc styles in hair magazines from 2007-2012 beginning my journey to help locticians master retwisting, styling, and business. I created the Hybrid Hands-On Method. My method combines in-person, visual, and guided practice so students can actually learn by doing—not just watching. In 2011, I released the first youtube tutorial from a loctician featuring the full style instruction. My styles like "The Dreaded Man", & "Basketball Hoop have gone viral several times! Over 10 million views on instagram the week I'm writing this! I’m also the author of The Art of Retwist, a guide with step-by-step techniques that allow you to work faster, neater, and more confidently . My work has been featured on major sets and productions, including J. Cole’s “Middle Child” video, and I’ve done loc styling for film, TV, and editorial shoots. I’ve trained hundreds of locticians—especially part-timers and beginners—how to turn their natural skills into consistent income and loyal clients. My firm is built are built around one mission: to turn raw talent into confident, profitable experts without wasting time.
